About Me

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about who I am.

I am a recent graduate from the Georgia Institute of Technology. I eventually earned a degree in International Affairs; however, during my tenure at Georgia Tech I also studied: Applied Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Management and Economics. I am curious as to how everything works, which naturally leads to diverse interests.

I spent the 2007/2008 school year abroad in Glasgow, Scotland, studying in a Master's in Technology Entrepreneurship program. I was unconditionally accepted into the program during my undergraduate exchange; however, I decided not to pursue actually receiving a degree as I would have been required to pay about £10,000 in program fees.

I like to learn just about anything. I am particularly interested in entrepreneurship, finance, and alternative energy. I love meeting new people, which is often times another opportunity to learn. Working on a good team project is among the most rewarding of learning exercises and, with the right mesh of characters and personalities, can produce fantastic results.

I like to work, though I often prefer jobs that demand a variety of skills and abilities. I am a very results oriented person, and I mean that in a forward looking sense. I like to know that my work is well aligned with my goals, and that I have produced exceptional results. I have been described as a perfectionist, but I prefer to believe I am more concerned with effectiveness. Though at times my attention to detail does border on perfectionism.

I play the piano and tenor saxophone, and I enjoy listening to music. I also enjoy hiking, running, and traveling. I love learning about technology, and considering the implications of new technologies. I especially love to laugh, and to make others laugh. Certainly there are times when humor is not appropriate, and those times are when it is often appreciated the most. Despite that previous statement, I do have a tendency to maintain a professional demeanor until I am better acquainted with my colleagues.

Thank you again for taking the time to learn more about me. If you would like to learn more, feel free to contact me. Otherwise, have a wonderful day, and feel free to look around some more.

Best regards,
Aaron D. Marr
